Total Hours of Work per Term: Number of hours vary by position: up to 75 hours in the semester

Position Summary

Must assist the course lecture with all aspects of the course which could include, but is not limited to:

• Consult and communicate with course lecturer;

• Read required material and any secondary material necessary for performing tasks;

• Assist with creating weekly active learning exercises to be conducted in class;

• Assist with creating formative and summative assessment questions to be used in quizzes;

• Conduct virtual (online) tutorials if needed;

• Assist with student learning;

• Effectively communicate with students;

• Ensure confidentiality regarding course-related matters;

• Respect and treat all students equally.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Masters or PhD student in Human Resources

• Prior demonstrable study in the subject matter of the course

• Demonstrable ability in quantitative methods applied in finance and economics

• Experience using myCourses/Brightspace is preferred

• Excellent overall academic performance

• Must have good command of the English language and good communication skills . McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.
