Bike Mechanic at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies

We are looking to fill the full-time summer seasonal position of Bike Mechanic at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Retail & Rentals Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous bike shop experience, customer service experience, and will be a team player. You Will:

• Maintain the working order, quality, and safety standards of our Scott rental bike fleet
• Bike Assembly, inspection, repair, and do complete overall of fleet bikes and guests’ bikes
• Working knowledge of bicycle components and repairs
• Directly responsible for generating bike parts and accessory sales
• Continuous monitoring of inventory, tools, and parts, write draft orders for approval then place parts orders
• Keeping records on all repairs and maintenance in accordance with company standards
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe workplace at all times
• Receive shipments & restock inventory
• Provide assistance with renting bikes and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service as a priority
• Abide, maintain, and contribute to RCR Policies, Safety Management Program, Covid-19 policies
• Miscellaneous other duties as required

You Have:

• Previous experience in a similar role in a professional environment
• Extensive knowledge of bicycle components, diagnosis, repairs, maintenance
• Knowledge of fork and disc brake maintenance
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment as well as being able to work as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good time management and problem-solving skills
