Job Summary
Our client, a growing manufacturer within the specialized electronics sector, is seeking an Electronics Assembly & Repair Technician to support both product assembly and troubleshooting activities within their production environment. This hands-on role will involve diagnosing and repairing complex electronic systems while also assisting with assembly and testing functions during peak production periods. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technical components, and contributing within a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
The Role
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic and electrical assemblies and components
- Perform testing and fault isolation on returned or non-functioning equipment
- Interpret schematics, manuals, technical drawings, and assembly documentation to identify issues and complete repairs
- Assist with mechanical and electronic product assembly during periods of lower repair activity
- Collaborate with production and technical teams to resolve product or quality concerns
- Maintain accurate records related to repairs, troubleshooting findings, and completed work
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly quality and troubleshooting efficiency
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
- Assist with product inspections, testing, and final verification processes as required
The Ideal Candidate
- Hands-on experience in electronics assembly, troubleshooting, repair, or maintenance within a manufacturing or technical environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation
- Technical diploma or education in electronics, electrical technology, engineering technology, or a related field is considered an asset
- Comfortable using hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while also contributing within a collaborative production team
- Previous experience in low-volume, highly customized manufacturing environments is considered an asset
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a growing organization
