We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary
Health and Safety/Claims Assistant to join our People team in Langley, BC.
This temporary position is expected to last until December 31, 2027.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Health and Safety you will be responsible for supporting the Health & Safety and Claims programs for all team members in office and retail stores.
You will be responsible for
- Managing day-to-day administrative tasks, including processing invoices, responding to Outlook emails, and inputting data in Excel.
- Assisting with initiatives for both the Health & Safety and Claims teams.
- Working with the Claims team to assist with return to work and accommodation files.
- Completing the intake process for claim inquiries.
- Supporting the Health and Safety team by regularly packaging and sending documents and resources to stores.
- Assisting with the unpaid sick program by initiating claims, liaising with team members and store managers, and conducting regular reviews to maintain entitlements.
- Conducting regular audits of team members on leave to document any changes in leave status.
- Participating in projects with the Claims team to ensure the effectiveness of systems, processes and procedures.
You have
- 1-2 years of administrative experience.
- A post-secondary education in Human Resources is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- An understanding of federal, provincial, and regional regulations including WorkSafeBC and WCB in all provinces is an asset.
- Experience with Workday and ServiceNow is an asset.

- An effective communicator, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Capable of handling sensitive information with tact and confidentiality.
- Able to prioritize effectively, make decisions, with excellent time management skills while working under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Compensation Details
$49,841.00 - $62,302.00
The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
