Disability Support Worker 1 Casual/Part-Time at Quest Support Services Inc.

The right candidate will directly support individuals with disabilities in our community. You will support people to be successful in a variety of areas in their lives, including maintaining a home, accessing community resources/services, money management, staying healthy, maintaining safety, advocating for themselves, and living as independently as possible. In this position, you will be a valuable member of the team and will play an integral role in the company’s ability to achieve its vision and mission by providing consistent, reliable, and skilled coverage for our 300+ permanent employees during their time off throughout the year.

As a casual employee you will enjoy a flexible schedule that will allow you to and gain experience in a variety of settings supporting individuals with disabilities. This position is for you if you are looking for work experience in disability services but prefer not to commit to a permanent schedule due to changing availability throughout the year. Preference will be given to candidates that can commit to working an average of 10-20 hours per week.

• Assisting individuals to reach personalized goals
• Administer medications
• Follow safety and behaviour management protocols
• Complete required documentation (handwritten and electronic)
• Communication of pertinent information with your teams
• Provide job shadow training for new employees as needed
• Maintain mandatory training/licenses as per policy
• High School Diploma
• Clear Criminal Record
• Valid class 5 driver’s license
• Vehicle that can be used for work purposes ($2,000,000 liability insurance)
• Ability to work at least 10 –15 hours per week

Casual hours during daytime, evenings, overnights, & weekends.

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour.
