Lake Excavating Ltd. is actively hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for our mining construction project at Barkerville Gold Mine near Wells, BC.

Competitive Compensation
- $28.00 - $44.00 per hour (based on experience)

What We're Looking For
We're seeking operators with experience in:
- Earthworks | Mining | Road Construction | Civil Construction
Experience operating one or more of the following is required:
- Dozers | Excavators | Graders | Haul Trucks | Compactors (Packers)
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada (preference given to candidates residing in BC and Alberta)
- Successfully pass a mandatory pre-access drug screening
- Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean Driver's Abstract
- Reliable transportation to and from Wells, BC (camp-to-site transportation is provided)
- Be physically capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Have a stable employment history within mining, civil construction, or industrial projects
Job Expectations
Successful candidates will:
- Operate heavy equipment safely, efficiently, and productively
- Perform daily pre-operational (360°) equipment inspections
- Complete routine servicing including fueling, greasing, cleaning, and track maintenance
- Assist with general labour duties when required
- Work safely around other equipment, personnel, and infrastructure
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and complete all required inspection and maintenance logs
- Comply with Client/Company policies/procedures, WorkSafeBC, and the BC Mines Act
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors and fellow crew members
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development
Work Schedule
- Camp-based position
- 14 days on / 7 days off (other schedules may be arranged)
- 11-hour shifts
- Rotating Day and Night Shifts
- Flexibility to accommodate schedule changes resulting from weather, operational, or client requirements
