You are a seasoned Superintendent with 4–10 years of field operations experience managing ground-up (new-build) construction projects. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management of field activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate has proven experience leading new-build projects from site mobilization through completion, coordinating trades, managing subcontractors, and resolving field issues. You will develop and implement project plans and schedules, uphold company safety and quality standards, and lead field staff and trade partners to successfully deliver complex construction projects.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead field teams to safely deliver ground-up construction projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Promote site safety by ensuring compliance with company policies, the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Plan, and all applicable OH&S regulations.
  • Plan and coordinate site operations, including logistics, scheduling, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify risks or delays, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Supervise and mentor field staff, including forepersons, carpenters, and labour crews, while promoting the company's core values.
  • Oversee staff to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects to completion

Qualifications

  • 4–10 years of experience as a Superintendent managing ground-up (new-build) commercial, residential, institutional, or industrial construction projects.
  • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Proven ability to lead field operations from site mobilization through project completion, including coordinating trades, subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics.
  • Strong safety mindset with a demonstrated commitment to fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, scheduling, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively lead field teams and collaborate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Working Conditions

  • Site-based position in Saskatoon, SK
  • Primarily based on active construction sites with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • May require occasional travel to project sites and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to support project schedules.
