Manager, Community Engagement & Program Growth at Compass Group Canada
The salary for this position is $65,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. The Manager Community & Program Growth focuses on increasing student participation in school meal programs by building strong relationships within school communities and identifying opportunities to grow meal plan orders. This role drives program adoption identifies growth opportunities, and partners with school leadership and internal teams to remove barriers and maximize participation.
This role reports to the Regional Director and works directly with schools and stakeholders to drive awareness and engagement, with an emphasis on outreach and program adoption rather than daily foodservice operations.

- Analyze identified trends on meal participation and barriers to student and family engagement.
- Develop and execute school-level strategies to increase meal plan participation and ordering.
- Support rollouts of new programs, menus, or initiatives with a focus on adoption and utilization.
- Using tools provided, gather feedback from students, families, and schools to inform program improvements.
- Act as a strategic partner to school leadership, serves as a primary liaison between school administration, principals, school staff, and the Envision team related to meal participation.
- Influence adoption of programs through tailored engagement strategies.
- Build trusted working relationships with principals and key school stakeholders to align programs with school needs and culture.
- Lead high-impact engagement activities such as school admin and parent trainings, tastings, information sessions including tabling events, promotional events, and family-facing communications.
- Support clear, consistent messaging around meal programs, ordering processes, and benefits.
- Partner with Operations Managers, District Managers, culinary teams, and marketing resources to ensure engagement efforts align with operational capabilities.
- Influence decision-making by elevating participation challenges and recommending solutions to senior leadership related to access, menus, technology, or awareness.
- Act as a connector between schools and support teams to resolve non-operational participation issues.
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns through the Chartwells Eats Support mailbox to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Present trends, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Share best practices, successful engagement approaches, and lessons learned across schools and teams to strengthen long-term program performance.

- 3 to 5+ years of experience in K-12 environments, program management, community engagement, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, particularly with school leaders and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Ability to analyze participation data and translate insights into practical actions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently across multiple sites.
- Comfortable working in schools and engaging with diverse populations.
- Criminal Record and vulnerable sector check may be required.
- Travel between schools required.
