Contract type: Full time

Senior Sales Executive – Global Business Development

At Green Matters Technologies Inc., we develop environmentally sustainable products designed to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency within the HVAC marketplace.

We are entering an important stage of growth and are looking for a Senior Sales Executive who can help expand our presence internationally.

This is not a role for someone looking to manage an existing territory or maintain established accounts. We are looking for someone who enjoys building — someone who can identify opportunities, create relationships, and develop new markets from the ground up.

The primary focus of this position will be expanding Green Matters’ presence throughout Japan, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. This individual will introduce our solutions to new markets, develop strategic partnerships, and build relationships with commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations that can benefit from improved energy efficiency.

The right person for this role is naturally curious, driven, and comfortable operating independently. You know how to start conversations, navigate complex organizations, and create momentum where a formal path may not already exist.

You will work directly with Green Matters’ leadership team and have the opportunity to play a significant role in the company’s continued growth.

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia. International travel is an important part of the role; however, this is not a remote position. When not traveling, this person will work from the Vancouver office alongside leadership and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to expand Green Matters’ presence within targeted international markets.

• Identify, create, and secure new business opportunities by building relationships with prospective customers, partners, and industry leaders.

• Establish strategic partnerships that support market entry, accelerate adoption, and drive long-term growth.

• Build trusted relationships with executives, developers, engineers, consultants, and key decision-makers within commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations.

• Manage opportunities throughout the entire sales process, from initial outreach and relationship development through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.

• Represent Green Matters at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, trade missions, and other business development opportunities.

• Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to understand customer needs, develop solutions, and support successful market expansion.

• Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and strategic recommendations to support continued global growth.

Qualifications

• Proven success developing new business, creating growth opportunities, and expanding into new markets.

• Experience building executive-level relationships and navigating complex sales opportunities with multiple stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and convert relationships into measurable business growth.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer challenges and position solutions that create value.

• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and create structure in developing markets.

• Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable operating in environments where opportunities must be created rather than inherited.

• Experience selling technical, engineered, or solution-based products and services preferred.

• Experience within clean technology, energy, sustainability, HVAC, engineering, construction, manufacturing, utilities, or related industries preferred.

• Experience conducting business internationally and working across diverse cultures and markets preferred.

• Valid passport and willingness to travel extensively throughout Japan, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
