The University of Regina is committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across campus. The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Office is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive student employee to provide administrative and communications support for a limited-term position. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operations of the EDI Office, including administrative support, social media management, event logistics, communications, outreach activities, and support for student research assistants.

Administrative Support

  • Assist the EDI Advisor with the day-to-day administrative operations of the EDI Office.
  • Coordinate logistics for EDI initiatives, events, and learning opportunities.
  • Manage the EDI Office social media accounts, including creating content, scheduling posts, and responding to comments as appropriate.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials and resources for events, workshops, and presentations.
  • Create digital reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
  • Prepare monthly diversity calendar resources.
  • Provide administrative support to student research assistants working on EDI projects.

Communication and Outreach

  • Assist with promoting the work of the EDI Office through tabling events, social media, the EDI website, and other communication strategies.
  • Support outreach efforts to increase awareness of EDI initiatives across the University community.
  • Assist in designing promotional materials, feedback forms, and follow-up surveys for EDI events and initiatives.

Data Management

  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and managing participant feedback through surveys and other evaluation tools.
  • Create reports summarizing event outcomes, participation, and feedback.
  • Assist in organizing follow-up meetings for affinity groups and other EDI initiatives.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Regina.
  • Demonstrated interest in equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, particularly within higher education.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple administrative tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous experience managing social media accounts, coordinating events, or organizing logistics is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Canva or similar design software for creating promotional materials and digital resources.
  • Experience with data collection, survey administration, and reporting. Familiarity with Microsoft Forms, Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Accountability
