The Opportunity

The qEEG Technician plays a key clinical support role in the delivery of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services. Working under the direction of the clinical team, qEEG Technicians are responsible for conducting quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) assessments using Evoke Neurosciences equipment, supporting clients throughout the assessment process, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized between appointments.

Key Responsibilities

qEEG Assessment Delivery

  • Conduct qEEG assessments using Evoke Neurosciences equipment and software in accordance with clinic protocols and standards
  • Prepare clients for qEEG procedures, including cap placement and setup of assessment equipment
  • Clearly explain the assessment process to clients and answer questions regarding procedures and equipment
  • Ensure accurate collection, recording, and documentation of qEEG assessment data
  • Monitor assessment quality and troubleshoot minor technical issues when appropriate

Patient Monitoring & Support

  • Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment throughout the assessment process
  • Build rapport with clients, including veterans and active RCMP personnel, while demonstrating professionalism and empathy
  • Observe clients during assessments and escalate concerns or irregularities to the clinical team as required
  • Support clients through the assessment experience while ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times

Clinical Collaboration & Documentation

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient scheduling, workflow, and continuity of care
  • Accurately document assessment completion, observations, and relevant client information within clinic systems
  • Communicate equipment concerns, client updates, or operational issues to the clinical team in a timely manner
  • Adhere to all clinic privacy, confidentiality, and professional practice standards

Equipment Maintenance and Clinical Operations

  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain qEEG caps, electrodes, and equipment between client appointments in accordance with infection prevention and control standards
  • Monitor equipment functionality and report technical concerns or maintenance needs promptly
  • Assist with maintaining organized clinical spaces and ensuring equipment readiness for appointments
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to qEEG technology and clinic operations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare, mental health, neurodiagnostic, or clinical setting preferred
  • Experience with qEEG or EEG equipment considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Comfortable working with veteran and active RCMP populations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning clinical software systems
  • CPR/First Aid certification considered an asset
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to patient safety and confidentiality
