What You Will Do

The Operations Supervisor will assist with staff supervision, coaching and scheduling and create a safe and secure home-like environment for clients, families and staff.

  • Supervise assigned Direct Support Specialists, monitoring for adherence to all CBI Policy, providing guidance and direction, completing performance evaluations and coaching as needed
  • Assist in interviewing, training and orientation / onboarding of new staff
  • Assist with ensuring accuracy and consistency amongst SCS departments in SharePoint
  • Complete audits and review operational metrics of success as requested
  • Process Incident Reports to funders and licensing authority while maintaining accurate record of submissions
  • Work in close collaboration with Operations Managers, Clinical team and Senior Management to ensure SCS efficiencies
  • Participate in special events for supported individuals
  • Conduct community site visits as requested

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Experience/knowledge of working with adult clients with intellectual and mental disabilities.
  • Experience/knowledge of working with clients with alcohol and drug dependencies and behavioural challenges.
  • Must have a valid certification in emergency first Aid and CPR.
  • Must have a dependable vehicle and full Class 5 Drivers License
  • Required to have a clear Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector, Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Registry valid in the last 6 months.
  • Minimum Grade Twelve education, preferably post-secondary, Developmental Service Worker Certificate, Health Care Aide certification or a combination of related education/experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment, sound decision making abilities and the capacity to work with minimal supervision.
