Bar Manager at Shamrock Storehouse C2
Calling all experienced Bar Managers in Vancouver! Shamrock Storehouse Dunbar is actively searching for an experienced Bar Manager. The Bar Manager, under the direction of the General Manager, will primarily be responsible for ensuring effective day-to-day operations of the bar. You should be customer focused and profit driven to succeed in this role. Located at 4497 Dunbar St, situated on the West side of Vancouver.
Job Duties:
- Prepare weekly schedules for bartender, barback and server staff to adequately cover all shifts. Provide for coverage in case of employee absence and adjust staffing as necessary to meet business demands.
- Monitor inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock is maintained and to prevent excess pours or abuse by staff. Requisition purchases as needed.
- Oversee cleanliness of bar & dining area as well as restrooms, paying special attention to possible health hazards and code violations.
- Review sales and beverage costs, and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting. Ensure proper cash management.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines.
- Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure quality of product served
- Responsible for maintaining a consistently high level of customer service
- Greet and handle all guest interaction with a high level of professionalism and hospitality.
- Resolve all customer complaints
- Strive to achieve sales targets while respecting budget during day-to-day operations.
- Along with the GM, interview, onboard and train new employees.
- Other duties as assigned .

Requirements:
- Completion of a college diploma in hospitality, food and beverage service management or other related disciplines is a plus.
- Previous supervisory experience in the food & beverage industry.
- Serving It Right cert
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Proficiency with point-of-sale software.
- Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance.
- Competency in resource management and inventory control.
- Customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, personnel management and marketing.
