Job Purpose & Responsibilities
The Application Analyst position is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.
Reporting to the IST Manager, the Application Analyst is responsible for:
- Technical and advisory support to all City Departments.
- Installing new hardware and software systems.
- Prioritizing and executing technical support for Help Desk calls initiated from City Departments.
- Assisting users with training and applications.
- Support for all network infrastructure and servers, as well as assisting with and providing support for the installation, modification, and maintenance of all virtualized system environments.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Computer Repair and/or Networking, certifications in Comptia A+, Network A+, MCSE and Microsoft applications.
- Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 and SQL.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have two or more years’ experience.
- Previous experience with a Municipality is considered an asset.
- Ability to manage strict timelines for various projects.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and satisfactory annual Driver’s Abstract.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
More Details
The hours of work for this position are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with on-call rotation and an opportunity for overtime. The wage for this position is $45.60 per hour.
This position is within the scope of AUPE Local 118/016, and as such you will be required to adhere to articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
