Maintenance Supervisor — Pulp Mill Operations

We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within a continuous-process pulp mill. This role partners closely with Operations and Engineering to keep equipment reliable, downtime low, and work performed safely in a high-hazard industrial environment.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise skilled trades (millwrights, electricians, instrumentation)
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
• Coordinate maintenance with production to maximize uptime
• Lead safe work practices (LOTO, confined space, hot work, hazard assessments)
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Support outages, shutdowns, and capital upgrades
• Maintain CMMS records (PMs, work orders, labour, and parts)
• Manage contractors and vendors
• Drive root cause failure analysis and continuous improvement
• Coach and develop maintenance team members

What You Bring

• Red Seal Millwright, Electrician, Industrial Mechanic, or similar technical background
• 5+ years industrial maintenance (pulp & paper, sawmill, mining, chemical, or heavy manufacturing)
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
• Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, and process systems
• CMMS experience (SAP, Maximo, JD Edwards)
• Strong safety leadership; union environment experience a plus
