About The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dedicated Grounds and Maintenance Officer to help keep our Retirement Village running smoothly and looking its best. In this hands-on role, you’ll complete general building maintenance, use equipment like ride on movers and tractors and manage the upkeep of our beautifully landscaped garden areas, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-presented environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike.

Your Day-to-day Will Involve

• Perform general repairs, preventative maintenance, and organise contractors when needed
• Care for lawns, gardens, paths, and outdoor areas to a high standard
• Carry out routine tasks like rubbish removal, gutter cleaning, watering, pruning, and planting
• Maintain tools and ensure safe handling of equipment and chemicals
• Keep accurate maintenance records, support regulatory compliance, and uphold safety procedures
• Assist with stock control and basic admin such as processing invoices and keeping registers updated
• Work as part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team that values cooperation and respect

About You

• Demonstrated experience in general gardening and maintenance
• Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Standards and requirements relevant to grounds and maintenance work
• Knowledge of and experience in gardening and groundskeeping
• Ability to use power garden tools and a ride on mower
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
