Tacten is seeking a Rope Access Journeyperson Insulator to support our client site IOL in Edmonton, AB on a full time basis.

As a Rope Access Insulator, you will be a key member of our team responsible for executing high-altitude tasks with precision, efficiency, and safety. Project Details

  • Site IOL
  • Shift/Rotation EDO Schedule. 8.6 hours per day. 730am to 436pm
  • Candidates must be local to Edmonton or surrounding area
  • Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
  • Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
  • Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
  • Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
  • Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
  • Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.
  • Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
  • Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.
  • Journeyman or Apprentice Insulator or equivalent hours required
  • IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain.
  • IRATA Level 2 and 3 certified candidates are also encouraged to apply nd may be considered for advanced responsibilities based on experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial insulation practices including installation, repair, and maintenance of thermal and acoustic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, with expectations based on certification and experience level.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding industrial work in varying site and weather conditions.
