Chemical Operator at Clean Harbors

Our Clean Harbors team in Sarnia, ON is looking for a DZ/AZ Chemical Cleaning Operator to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of units such as Vacuum Trucks and High Pressure Equipment to perform chemical cleaning at various client sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Driving, operating, and maintaining chemical cleaning units;
• Transferring fluid using skid and transfer pumps;
• Operating, loading and unloading the units ( ie Hot Oilers, Water, Vac Trucks);
• Rigging the equipment and hoses in and out;
• Blending chemicals into the circulating units;
• Completing electronic pre and post trip inspections, field level risk assessments and other related paperwork;
• Comfortable working in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions;
• Performing general shop duties and laborer tasks as required.
• Previous commercial driving experience required;
• Previous chemical cleaning experience is required;
• Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time, up to 5-10 days away from home at a time.
• Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates ( training available).

Qualifications

• Class DZ Driver’s License required, AZ considered as well;
• Previous commercial driving experience required;
• Previous chemical cleaning experience is required;
• Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time, up to 5-10 days away from home at a time.
• Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates ( training available).
