About The Role
The Planner - Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring our production and installation operations run smoothly, on time, and in alignment with customer expectations. Working at the intersection of production, sales, customer service, and shipping, this role requires a highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities:
- Schedule installs and belting orders, resolve problems and coordinating solutions to meet customer due dates
- Schedules work orders for installations at clients sites
- Schedule production orders. Monitor and modify schedule as necessary to meet shipping and customer requirements while adhering to scheduling guidelines
- Communicate shipping priorities to Shipping Team to ensure customer due dates & times are met
- Work closely with sales & customer service team to ensure scheduling is aligned with clients' needs
- Resolve any discrepancies by collecting and analyzing production information
- Respond to any changes involving dates, quantity, cancellations, and special requirements for shipment and change production schedule as required
- Constantly monitor capacity conflicts and plan to solve as soon as identified
- Participate in continuous improvement activities related to production scheduling
- Issue customer specific order status reports
- Maintain accurate records of scheduling activity, changes, and outcomes for reporting and audit purposes
- Monitoring and solving problems related to the release of work orders, component inventory, order progress and completion
- Attend daily cross-functional huddles; identifie s and mitigate s supply risks.
- Issue all work orders per production schedule
- Work extensively with MS Nav software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV - Navision)
- Maintain data integrity across ERP and CRM systems
- Respect at all times the safety instructions & guidelines
- Complete all required trainings as assigned.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a Production Planning, Scheduling, or Supply Chain Coordination role within a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) or a comparable ERP system is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office, and prior experience with CRM software (Sales Force preferred)
- Professional telephone skills, customer service mindset, and professional oral and written communications
- Ability to work efficiently with a team
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High Energy - Able to thrive in a customer service/sales environment
- High Integrity & Accountability
- Strong organization skills, Excellent time management skills
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skill
- Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities.
- Excellent attendance
- Being onsite all 5 days is required
- Authorization to work in Canada for any employer
Job Conditions
- Job Location: Ammega Canada Inc. - Ammega Canada Inc. 265 Export Blvd, Mississauga, ON, L5S 1Y4
- Salary: CAD $50,000 – $55,000 annually (depending on relevant exp.)
- Days of work: 5 Days in Office, Monday to Friday - Permanent Full time position, 40 hours per week
- Timings: 8:00am to 5:00pm EST
