École McTavish High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of High School Social Studies & Physical Education.

Requirements: The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Studies, B.Ed
• Bachelor's degree Physical Education, B.Ed

Desired Qualifications/Skills: It will be an asset to have:

• Previous experience teaching Social Studies and Phys Ed at the 10/20/30 level.
• The ability to work in a team environment with staff and parents.
• A base knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.
• Effective organization skills and classroom management.
• The ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool.
• An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for special needs students.
• A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
• An interest in teaching a wide variety of electives
• A commitment to continuous professional growth and a strong ability to connect and build relationships with high school students.
