HR & Office Operations Generalist at Varonis

For our new office in Vancouver Canada, we are looking for someone who likes to do it all.

Office Operations

  • Oversee all day-to-day office management activities.
  • Manage relationships with building management, vendors, and service providers.
  • Coordinate office space planning, supplies, equipment, and workplace services.
  • Manage local office budgets and expenses.
  • Ensure the office is professional, welcoming, and aligned with company standards.
  • Support business continuity and operational readiness for the office.

People & Employee Experience

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees in Canada.
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization and maintain a strong understanding of employee sentiment and team dynamics.
  • Identify and proactively surface employee engagement, morale, retention, or culture concerns.
  • Partner with managers and HR leadership to address employee relations issues and workplace challenges.
  • Help ensure employees and managers are operating in accordance with company values and behavioral standards.
  • Facilitate onboarding and integration of new hires.

Culture & Engagement

  • Organize office events, celebrations, volunteer activities, team-building initiatives, and leadership visits.
  • Create opportunities to strengthen collaboration, community, and employee engagement.
  • Gather informal employee feedback and provide thoughtful insights to leadership.
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Employee Experience, Office Management, or a related role.
  • Experience operating independently in a startup, scale-up, or small-office environment.
  • Strong employee relations instincts and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility quickly.
  • Sound judgment and the confidence to address difficult situations professionally.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience within a technology company is preferred.
