Starlight Capital is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Starlight Investments, a $30 billion global private real estate asset management firm serving global institutional investors.

Starlight Capital is seeking a high-performing Portfolio Manager to lead the Starlight Dividend Growth Class and Starlight North American Equity Fund and manage ~$400 million in total assets. This role will have full accountability for portfolio construction, risk management and alpha generation in both portfolios. The successful candidate will be directly supported by a dedicated Associate Portfolio Manager and the additional members of the Starlight Capital Investment Team.

We are seeking an experienced investment professional who can contribute to both portfolio management and support our national distribution team with their asset gathering objectives. The successful candidate will be self-driven, collaborative, and capable of thriving in a collegial, high-performance environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end portfolio management for two North American equity mandates
  • Manage APM direct report and coordinate with other Investment Team members
  • Drive alpha through differentiated, high-conviction stock selection
  • Support asset gathering alongside our national distribution team

Research Edge

  • Develop proprietary insights through fundamental bottom-up analysis
  • Engage with management teams, analysts, and alternative data sources
  • Translate macro and geopolitical developments into actionable positioning

Client Impact

  • Serve as a key face of the strategies with Advisors and clients
  • Clearly articulate performance, positioning, and outlook
  • Partner with distribution to support asset growth and retention
  • Contribute to thought leadership and media presence

Requirements

  • Proven 7+ year buyside track record managing North American equity portfolios
  • Demonstrated alpha generation versus benchmarks and peers
  • Strong risk management discipline and portfolio construction expertise
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a competitive drive to outperform
  • Excellent communication and client-facing presence
  • CFA Charterholder
