Marketing Assistant at ZenFri Inc.

ZenFri is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support its team across a range of clients and projects. This is a varied, hands-on role encompassing content creation, social media, web maintenance, and in-person representation. The position combines remote work with on-location tasks and offers a high degree of autonomy.

Note: This role requires some on-location tasks in Winnipeg and surrounding communities. You must reside within the area for consideration.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Creative

• Write marketing copy, including social media captions, web content, and event descriptions
• Film and edit short-form video content for social media and marketing campaigns
• Support graphic design projects
• Coordinate with the team to create engaging email marketing content that resonates with target audiences

Digital Marketing & SEO

• Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns
• Conduct keyword research and optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve organic search rankings
• Contribute to the planning and execution of digital advertising strategies
• Plan, schedule, and publish content across social media channels

Website & Analytics

• Manage and update website content using WordPress, including event calendars, ensuring website performance aligns with SEO best practices
• Analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other analytics tools to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement

Brand & Public Engagement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all digital channels
• Represent ZenFri and its clients at events and on location, including direct engagement with the public

Required Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English
• A keen eye for design and modern marketing strategies
• Ability to work independently and manage one's own time and workload
• Comfort with on-camera work, filming, and public-facing engagement
• Access to a personal vehicle, as some responsibilities require travel to on-location work (mileage will be reimbursed)

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

• Proficiency in French
• Interest in or experience within the tourism and sustainability sectors
• Experience with WordPress, SEO best practices, and content management
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and email marketing platforms
• Experience with video editing, graphic design, and social media management tools
