Position Overview
Performs inspections of in-process and finished goods as directed by drawings, customer requirements, and other instructions.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Must respect Amcor Rigid Packaging’s primary focus, that is to ensure the Safety of all employees.
Perform dimensional inspections of moulded products using a data collection system along with micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, digital indicators, wall thickness gauges and other various measuring equipment.
Generate and issue statistical data and charts to production.
Close interaction with leadership team.
Keeps QA management informed on all issues.
Maintains accurate records of all inspection results.
Performs gauge calibration.
Plotting SPC Control charts and interpretation.
Assist in maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices within the plant.
Performs Work Instructions and SOPs as written by the company to comply with established standards
Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as the company determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by the company absentee control program.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1 – 3 years in a quality function
Must be regularly available and willing to work a continuous operation 12 hour shift schedule as the company determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
