Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Supervisor to lead a team of advisors and operations specialists in ensuring the seamless execution of shipping, receiving, e-commerce fulfillment, and backroom operations. This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and a smooth client experience.

The successful candidate will possess strong inventory management and organizational skills and will play a key role in streamlining processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to the overall success of the team and client experience.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales & Operations, the Operations Supervisor will lead a team of dedicated employees. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise warehouse associates and backroom staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback while fostering a culture of accountability, empathy, and self-awareness.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows, training employees on inventory management and logistics best practices.
  • Promote collaboration and a positive working environment between retail and back-of-house teams to optimize product availability.

Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Management

  • Manage all shipping activities, including the receiving, verification, and processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise.
  • Oversee inbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing while adhering to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and logistics partners to optimize shipping processes, improve delivery timelines, and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and track shipments while maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders and clients regarding order status.
  • Implement efficient receiving and distribution processes to ensure inventory is available when needed.
  • Manage returns, damaged goods, and inventory transfers in accordance with store policies.

Inventory Management & Control

  • Oversee stock replenishment (products, tools, and hygiene supplies), inventory control, cleanliness/organization, and product allocation to ensure optimal inventory levels and visual presentation at all times.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to track stock movements and improve inventory accuracy.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Provide feedback on operational processes, collaborate with business partners, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to shipping and inventory management, analyze data, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Streamline workflows and improve space utilization.
  • Analyze sales trends and inventory data to improve efficiency and reduce losses.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, fulfillment rates, and operational effectiveness.
  • Work closely with store management to align back-of-house operations with overall business objectives.

Warehouse & Back-of-House Operations

  • Ensure the warehouse/backroom is organized, clean, and operating efficiently.
  • Implement best practices for inventory storage, labeling, and retrieval to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and store operational guidelines.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure staff are properly trained in its use.

Operational Management, Compliance & Team Support

  • Ensure the effective execution of tester and RTV (Return to Vendor) processes across all brands, making sure activities are completed monthly and within allocated budgets.
  • Monitor and analyze Trouble Logs and Financial Logs in collaboration with Buying and Finance teams to ensure optimal product availability on the sales floor at all times.
  • Work closely with the Front of House (FOH) team to ensure continuous merchandise replenishment and sufficient inventory levels to meet client demand.
  • Support and oversee logistics and e-commerce operations, ensuring daily order fulfillment and maintaining a 100% order completion rate within established timelines.
  • Prepare and manage team schedules to ensure optimal resource planning and operational support.
  • Mentor, support, and coach team members by identifying the tools, resources, and training needed for their success and professional development.
  • Ensure weekly Cycle Counts are completed and compliant to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support full-store physical inventories twice annually in collaboration with FOH teams.
  • Ensure compliance with client return processes, including daily management of return bins and adherence to established procedures.
  • Train and onboard new employees on all Back of House (BOH) operational processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company operational policies and procedures while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software, the Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant technologies.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and with external partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
