Pharmacy Assistant – Bridgewater, NS at Heritage Pointe Pharmasave

Bridgewater Pharmasave has a full-time career opportunity for a pharmacy assistant.

Our pharmacy team is committed to our patients and community. You must have a great attitude and want to positively contribute to our team as well as have an interest in acquiring new skills. This is a sensitive environment and confidentiality is a must. You can expect to work in a modern and efficient space.

• Quickly and accurately answering phones and in-person patient requests
• Entering prescriptions efficiently and accurately
• Preparation and packaging of prescription drugs including compounds and methadone
• Operation of cash register
• Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety protocols are followed at all times
• Supporting other dispensary employees to ensure work demands are being met
• Putting away replenishment orders
• Maintaining suitable stock levels of daily supplies
• One year experience in a busy community dispensary
• Team oriented individual who is hard working, reliable and has excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 15lbs and stand on your feet up to 10 hours per day

This is a full time permanent position (33-40 hours per week) that will include day, evening, weekend and holiday hours.
