Material Handler at Peak Processing Solutions
Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate preparation, handling, and movement of finished goods and inventory within the Simcoe warehouse. This role supports provincial order fulfillment, warehouse replenishment, inventory accuracy, and inbound/outbound logistics while ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, stage, and ship products for provincial distribution and warehouse replenishment.
- Verify shipment accuracy, including quantities, SKUs, and documentation.
- Schedule shipments with third-party logistics providers and prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs).
- Receive incoming goods, verify accuracy, and process receipts in accordance with SOPs.
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Organize, label, and store inventory within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks (EPJs) safely.
- Perform value-added services such as labeling, repacking, and customer-specific packaging.
- Rework products as required in accordance with Peak's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and complete equipment inspections.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or material handling.
- Forklift and EPJ operating experience (certification is an asset).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekends.
