Admin Support 2 (Accounting Clerk)

Permanent 10 month position Commencing September 16, 2026
Hunting Hills High School is seeking a highly organized Accounting Clerk for a full-time, 10-month position. The successful candidate will provide accounting and administrative support while ensuring accurate financial records, excellent customer service, and efficient day-to-day office operations. A certificate or diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
This position is paid on grid FS of the Classified Staff grid, with a current range of $21.87 to $30.34 per hour.
Primary responsibilities and duties
- Process bookstore sales and provide customer service.
- Receive, process, and reconcile student fee payments.
- Prepare bank deposits and reconcile cash transactions.
- Prepare, distribute, and reconcile cash floats for school events.
- Assist with purchasing, including purchase orders and invoice processing.
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with purchasing
- Process and maintain field trip forms, payments, and related documentation.
- Provide administrative support for student fees, bookstore operations, and other school financial activities.
- Other duties are required
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Previous accounting experience, including cash handling and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Experience with accounting or financial software is an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Able to work in a team environment
