Actively looking for Accountant

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify transactional activity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries
• Complete key balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, AR, AP, inventory, and accruals
• Perform monthly subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and financial adjustments
• Analyze budget and forecast variances and provide meaningful insights
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Support audit processes and ensure documentation is complete and organized
• Provide accounting support to the Assistant Controller and leadership team

Qualifications & Experience

• CPA designation completed or currently in progress is preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a senior or intermediate accounting role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
