The Installation Technician is a key role in our Regina branch operations providing value by executing installation services ensuring the product is installed or serviced on time, within budget and in conformance with functional and quality expectations.
Installation Services
- Ensure the hardware or other schedules are reviewed for clarification, especially product names and item numbers.
- Ensures the keying or access controls are complete according to customers performance specifications
- Install products in accordance with manufactures specs. and scope of project.
- Supervision and training of other on-site labourers
- Accurate estimating of time to complete tasks and adherence to agreed deadlines
- Completes proper paperwork showing the pickup of goods and delivery to site
- Use of company’s vehicle to move product to and from site with adherence to safety standards
- Identifies and communicates any short shipped or damaged product to product coordinator immediately
- Accurately recording receipt of goods on our sales order in conjunction with hardware or other schedules.
- Follows company’s procedures as to paper flow, documentation, and packaging for both shipping and receiving on site
- Follows site safety requirements
- Adherence to regulatory safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Maintain and ensure proper vehicle safety
- Daily, weekly, and monthly completion of safety forms as required on site and as defined by company’s safety manual
Internal/External Customer Service
- Notifying project leaders of delays or advances to project schedules
- Notify project leaders of out of scope work requested by customer
- Using win-win problem solving methods and inter-departmental task forces to solve inter-departmental work problems
- Maintain positive, effective relations with all other personnel and departments in the company
- Assist with other shop duties as required
Product Knowledge and Skill Development
- Constantly updating product knowledge.
- Attending in-house or external programs as to improve “installation process”
