- Provide leadership, mentoring, guidance and technical expertise to the project team
- Guide the overall technical design of uranium or potash plants and ancillaries
- Define capital project requirements, prepare scopes of work and project cost estimates
- Guide the creation of specifications and contract documents
- Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy
- Coordinate and work with other project team members
- Direct the detail design for projects
- Develop and maintain positive, sustainable client relationships

Expected
- 15+ years of experience with potash and/or uranium plant design and operations
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGS in the Province of Saskatchewan
- Familiarity with design codes, equipment and material selection and specification development
- Able to perform calculations for equipment design, such as for tanks, pumps, and conveyors
- Pipe stress calculations are an asset
- Underground operations is an asset
- Wellfield piping design is an asset
- Construction experience is an asset
- Other heavy industrial, mining, or smelting experience is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood
