Junior Software Engineer at Haystack

The Role

• Design, develop, test, and support Python-based applications and services
• Build and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations
• Contribute to Agentic AI workflows and MCP-enabled application components
• Implement integrations between AI models, enterprise systems, and business applications
• Develop reusable services and components aligned to enterprise engineering standards
• Participate in the SDLC including design, coding, testing, deployment, and support

What You'll Need

• Proficiency in Python with 2-5 years of hands-on application development
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms
• Knowledge of SQL and database technologies
• Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field
