Development Coordinator

ACS provides mental health evaluation, consultation, and treatment services to children and teens in Middlesex County. This position is based in Cambridge.

Position Overview

The Development Coordinator is a key member of a small, collaborative development team. Reporting to the Director of Development, they work closely with them to implement the fundraising strategy for the agency. This role coordinates the logistics of fundraising events, maintains accurate and organized development systems, and supports donor communications. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and energized by both the operational and relational sides of development.

Essential Functions

Special Events

• Support the coordination and implementation of the organization’s two fundraising events – Heal, Grow, & Thrive held in the fall and the spring ACS Trivia Night.
• Plan small internal events focused on staff team building and appreciation.
• Manage event logistics including budgeting, venue selection, vendor coordination, invitations, registration/ticketing, sponsorships, volunteer support, and day-of coordination.

Development Operations

• Process and record all donations in Salesforce, ensuring accurate donor records and timely gift acknowledgement.
• Generate reports and mailing lists to support appeals, events, and performance analysis.
• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for Salesforce and Givebutter, working with outside consultants as needed to resolve issues.

Communications and Administrative Support

• Manage and update the ACS website to ensure it effectively communicates the organization’s mission
• Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance visibility and engagement.
• Produce donor and member communications, including e-newsletters, thank you letters, and impact updates.
• Provide general administrative

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in development, fundraising, events, or nonprofit operations.
• Commitment to the organization’s mission.
• Strong professional writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to draft clear, correspondence and donor materials.
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience planning events of varying sizes.
• Experience with a donor CRM, familiarity with Salesforce and/or Givebutter preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with donors, volunteers, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; comfort learning new software and systems.
• Experience with email marketing platforms (Robly, Constant Contact, Givebutter) and website content management systems (e.g., WordPress), preferred.
• A collaborative, self-motivated, and adaptable approach to work.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events.

Full-Time Mental Health Clinician, Juvenile Court Clinic

This position is based at our Lowell site with the possibility of infrequent coverage at our other sites.

Essential Functions

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of youth who are before the Juvenile Court on a variety of matters: child requiring assistance applications, delinquency cases, care and protection matters, and emergency mental health and substance use evaluations.
• Communicate with juvenile court personnel, attorneys, schools, community providers, the district attorney’s office, the Department of Children and Families, and other stakeholders, to gather pertinent information and to provide consultation and coordination of care.
• Complete comprehensive written reports to be submitted to the court on behalf of the child and family.
• Provide oral testimony to the court regarding the findings of certain evaluations.
• Assist families with referrals to behavioral health providers and/or other services as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or similar field, from an accredited graduate school program.
• Independent licensure to provide mental health services in Massachusetts. (LICSW, LMHC)
• Excellent writing skills and experience writing thorough diagnostic evaluations.
• At least two years of experience working with at-risk youth and families.
• Strong diagnostic skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual candidates, especially English/Spanish and English/Portuguese.
• An interest in forensic psychology and prior forensic experience.
• Knowledge of services available for children and families.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates who are presently enrolled in the statewide CJCC I certification program, or are already a CJCC I certified juvenile court clinicians.

Mental Health Clinician, Part-Time

Job Type: Part-Time, 24 hours/week

Adolescent Consultation Services (ACS), a nonprofit mental health agency serving the Middlesex County Juvenile Courts of Massachusetts, is seeking experienced applicants for a part-time (24 hours/week) mental health clinician position. ACS provides evaluation, consultation, and treatment services to the Juvenile Courts in Cambridge, Framingham, Lowell, and Waltham. This position focuses on the treatment services and is based in Lowell with the possibility of occasional coverage at our other site.

Essential Functions

• Conduct intake screenings and assessments for court-involved and at-risk youth referred by schools, courts, or the District Attorney’s office within Middlesex County.
• Provide individual and family therapy, both in person and/or via telehealth.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups, both in person and/or via telehealth, as needed.
• Communicate with juvenile court staff, attorneys, schools, the District Attorney’s office, the Department of Children and Families, and other stakeholders, to provide consultation and coordination of care.
• Assist families with referrals to behavioral health providers and/or other therapeutic and community services, as needed.
• Maintain clinical documentation, including, but not limited to, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, case management notes, and memorandums to the juvenile court.
• Supervise student trainees, as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Independent licensure to provide mental health services in Massachusetts (LICSW or LMHC).
• A minimum of five years of experience working in the field of mental health.
• Essential knowledge and experience include a background in child development, strong diagnostic skills, knowledge of services available for children and families, and experience working with at-risk youth and families.
• Knowledge of treatment modalities appropriate for children, adolescents, and families.

Position Overview

This exciting new position has been created to help broaden the impact of our countywide services. Based in Cambridge, the ideal candidate will be an experienced clinician who is passionate about and skilled in providing individual and group mental health treatment to adolescents. This individual will also have experience and interest in facilitating psychoeducational groups for parents and caregivers of adolescents, as they will be instrumental in helping ACS launch its first psychoeducational Parent/Caregiver group.

Essential Functions

• Provide evidence-based individual and group counseling to court-involved and at-risk youth and their families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups for adolescents, demonstrating strong group leadership and clinical management skills.
• In collaboration with ACS leadership, develop, adapt, and implement a structured caregiver group curriculum addressing child and adolescent development, the underlying causes of challenging behaviors, identifying and responding to safety concerns, and practical, evidence-informed strategies for supporting adolescents.
• Conduct clinical intakes, treatment planning, and ongoing progress monitoring.
• Deliver services both in-person and via telehealth platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, including court personnel, schools, and community providers.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically sound documentation in accordance with agency standards and data platforms.
• Participate in supervision, consultation, and team-based care planning.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related mental health field.
• Independent licensure to provide mental health services in Massachusetts (LICSW or LMHC).
• Extensive experience facilitating clinical group counseling, particularly with adolescents and parents/caregivers.
• Experience working with court-involved, high-risk, or system-involved youth and families.
