Chicken on the Way has been proudly family-owned and operated since 1959, and we’re looking for 2 full-time employees to join our team! What We’re Looking For Full-time availability Comfortable working evenings and weekends Reliable and dependable Friendly and respectful with customers and coworkers Able to lift up to 50 lbs Able to arrange your own transportation home on Friday and Saturday nights — we close at 1:00 AM, after regular bus service Starting Wage: $16/hour + Tips You’ll start on the Till & Front Counter, where you’ll be trained to: Take customer orders Handle cash accurately and efficiently Wrap and prepare orders Maintain a clean and organized workspace Put away stock and boxes Bring up stock as needed Complete deep cleaning during slower periods Once you become efficient and confident in these responsibilities, you’ll receive a raise and training at the next station. Cook — $17/hour + Tips After progressing to the kitchen, you’ll learn to: Blanch and finish our fries Cook menu products Assemble meals Maintain our food quality standards Keep kitchen work areas clean and organized Complete deep cleaning when business is slow Put away stock and supplies as needed More Responsibility = More Pay Once you’re able to competently cover kitchen breaks and handle additional responsibilities, you’ll receive another raise to $18/hour + Tips. Our supervisors currently earn approximately $20–$22/hour + Tips, depending on experience, responsibilities, and how you choose to show up for the business.
