HR Services Representative (12-month term) at Stantec

Your Opportunity
Grow your HR career with Stantec in a role that uses your organizational strengths, service mindset, critical thinking, and attention to detail to support effective HR service delivery. As an HR Services Representative, you will provide responsive HR contact center support to an assigned North American client base, helping employees, HR partners, and internal clients navigate day-to-day HR needs and transactions with confidence. As part of a collaborative HR team, you will support a consistent, people-focused service experience across the employee life cycle while working with colleagues across offices, locations, and time zones. This is a full-time term role and may be based in one of Stantec’s North American offices.
Your Key Responsibilities
- HR Service Center Support: support HR programs and procedures by using HR Service Center tools, HR information systems, and Chat to help employees, HR partners, and internal clients receive timely responses.
- Customer Service: interpret documented HR policies, procedures, and guidelines for clients, and escalate complex issues as needed.
- HR Administration and Documentation: coordinate employee life cycle transactions, prepare accurate, time-sensitive paperwork, employee letters, and related documentation; follow up on missing information and coordinate approvals to meet deadlines.
- Collaboration and Employee Life-Cycle Support: correspond with corporate and regional HR teams, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and other partners to support timely issue resolution. Work closely with HR Business Partners to coordinate employee life-cycle events.
- Service Delivery and Compliance: ensure transactions, data integrity, training, and related activities comply with legislative and internal requirements that support effective HR service delivery and best practices.
- Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong customer service, detail orientation, and time management skills.
- Results-focused, with the critical thinking skills to manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable working with diverse individuals at all levels across a geographically dispersed organization.
- General knowledge of North American HR-related laws, legislation, rules, and regulations.
- Exercises confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Quickly learns and adapts to new programs, systems, and processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with HRMS platforms, preferably Oracle, and HR Services technology.
- Previous experience in an HR environment is preferred.
- French language skills are an asset.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay Range
- Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$53,700.00 - $75,300.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
