Quality Assurance Specialist at Nabors Industries

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for administering and sustaining the Quality Management System (QMS) at the local level. Reporting to the QHSE Manager, this role supports Quality Assurance, operational compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives by ensuring controlled documentation, audit readiness, and management system alignment with company, client, regulatory, and industry requirements. The position acts to support the planning, execution, documentation, and follow-up of internal audits, while also supporting iJ2E through document standardization, revision control, and system alignment activities.
Document Control & Governance
Administer and maintain the document control system in alignment with Nabors iJ2E, client, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with retention schedules, revision control, retention, and audit requirements.
Coordinate and maintain Management of Change (MOC) Process
Maintain central filing systems for OEM manuals, certifications, contractor inspection records, engineering drawings, reports, and well documentation packages ensuring revision accuracy and approval traceability.
Maintain and distribute controlled documents including Work Safe Procedures (WSPs), SOPs.
Assist with digitalization initiatives
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Audit & Compliance Support
Maintain local Quality Manage System (QMS) elements.
Coordinate the local internal audit program in consultation with the QHSE Manager.
Support client, corporate, regulatory, and third-party audits as required.
Coordinate audit preparation activities including evidence gathering, documentation review, and verification of records.
Maintain audit schedules, registers, findings, observations, and associated records.
Maintain the corrective action process for audits, inspections, MOCs, NCR and QER through to documented close-out.
Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Information Management, Quality, or related field preferred.
Experience in document control or quality systems within the energy or industrial sector preferred.
Working knowledge of ISO-based management systems and audit processes considered an asset.
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) preferred.
Familiarity with audit tracking systems and digital reporting platforms.
