We’re looking for a Production Manager to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta. Our mill has undergone an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press making us one of the most modern mills in North America.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Grade 12 diploma; post-secondary education in Engineering, Wood Sciences, Manufacturing, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated c ommitment to safety leadership and safe work practices.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
- Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably within wood products or a heavy industrial environment.
- Experience leading teams in a production setting.
- Continuous manufacturing and continuous press experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

In this role you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop frontline teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership and accountability.
- Drive production performance, productivity, recovery, and quality results.
- Collaborate across operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to solve challenges and improve processes.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resources to meet production targets and budgets.
- Identify operational, maintenance, and safety improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational modernization efforts.

- You'll earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience. The expected base salary range for this position is $117,000 to $156,000 per year.
- You'll earn an additional northern allowance on top of your base pay.
- You’ll be eligible to participate in Tolko’s bonus program.

- You may also be eligible for relocation support including community connections so you can live (and play) where you work.
- You’ ll be supported in continued development through on the job and classroom training and reimbursement of tuition and membership fees.
