SLB is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Spruce Grove team as a Motor Winding Technician. In this role, you will manually wind electric motors, supporting the repair and refurbishment of critical equipment used in our operations. You will work in a shop environment where quality, precision, and attention to detail are essential to ensuring successful motor rebuilds and on-time delivery of equipment. You will work closely with fellow technicians to complete motor winding activities, perform inspections, and support safe and efficient shop operations. This position offers hands-on technical work and the opportunity to develop specialized skills within a globally recognized technology company.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Perform manual winding, rewinding, and repair of electric motors according to established procedures.
  • Inspect motor components and identify damage, defects, or repair requirements.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and prepare motors for winding and refurbishment activities.
  • Collaborate with technicians and shop personnel to meet production and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with SLB standards.
  • Verify completed work meets quality requirements and technical specifications.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance shop efficiency, quality, and safety.

Qualifications And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, motor winding, motor rewinding, transformer winding, or other hands-on mechanical environments is an asset. Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude will also be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Spruce Grove facility are required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
