Licensed Practical Nurse - Emergency at Covenant Health Canada

This position is currently scheduled on a day/night rotation, including weekends. Rotation and shift patterns may be subject to change based on operational requirements. Please note: Number of hours per shift and shifts per cycle is for information purposes only.

Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications

Minimum (1) years recent (within last 3 years) emergency nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

At least (3) years emergency/critical care nursing experience. CTAS certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Trauma Nursing Core Course.
