Primary Purpose Of Position
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Demolition Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the safe and efficient demolition of buildings, structures, interior spaces and road infrastructure. This is a physically demanding role that requires strength, stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
Job Duties
- Perform manual demolition tasks such as stripping out interiors, removing fixtures and fittings, and dismantling structures.
- Operate hand and power tools including sledgehammers, jackhammers, grinders, and saws.
- Sort and remove debris, recyclable materials, and hazardous waste according to regulations.
- Load and unload materials and tools; assist with site preparation and cleanup.
- Comply with company safe work practices and procedures.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist machine operators and skilled tradespeople as needed.
- Report hazards or safety concerns to site supervisors.

- Previous experience in construction, demolition, or similar labor-intensive work is preferred.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Possession of valid CSTS, RSTS, Fall Arrest, and Working at Heights certifications is a valuable asset.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and working in dusty or noisy environments.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Ability to operate the required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Asbestos awareness training or certification is considered an asset.
Work Conditions
- Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs for 50 feet is required.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.)
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object.
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Noise level is generally loud.
- Must be able to quickly move arms and legs.
- Excellent stamina is required.
- Hazards associated with the industry.
