Job Title: ILS Technical Lead

The ILS Technical Lead – Naval supports the leadership and oversight of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) analysis for a wide range of defence programs and proposals. In this role, you guide a technical team and collaborate closely with stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure that supportability solutions meet rigorous customer requirements and industry standards. You contribute throughout the system lifecycle, from design and build phases through transition to long-term sustainment and in-service support

Responsibilities

• Apply Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) knowledge and analysis techniques in accordance with applicable regulatory rules, regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop and review technical and engineering requirements, certification and compliance documents, engineering and technical specifications, and related documentation to ensure system capability requirements are fully and accurately implemented.
• Work with clients to define, refine, and document ILS requirements and specifications that align with program objectives.
• Develop comprehensive ILS plans that meet program needs across design, build, and sustainment phases.
• Produce a wide range of ILS deliverables, technical studies, and analyses, including reliability and availability analyses and calculations.
• Perform trending analysis on system failures to identify patterns, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct FMECA, LSAR, LORA, RBD and related logistics support analyses to optimize supportability and maintainability.
• Perform Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis and prepare clear, actionable reports.
• Conduct maintainability analyses to ensure systems can be efficiently maintained throughout their lifecycle.
• Perform spares analysis and prepare provisioning documentation to support effective supply and sustainment strategies.
• Conduct end-of-life extension analyses to assess and justify continued operation of systems beyond original design life.
• Perform obsolescence analysis and maintain or update obsolescence plans to mitigate risk to long-term support.
• Carry out special research or technical studies critical to ARM, RCM, maintenance, and logistics support functions.
• Conduct life cycle cost analyses to inform decisions on design, support strategies, and long-term sustainment.
• Develop and review various technical manuals to support operation, maintenance, and logistics activities.
• Ensure work aligns with Logistics Support Analysis Requirements such as MIL-STD-1388-2B and GEIA-STD-0007.
• Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing findings, results, and recommendations from ILS analyses.
• Deliver briefings and presentations to internal and external stakeholders on ILS findings, plans, and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, including quality assurance and security requirements, in the performance of all duties.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction and guidance to the ILS team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and product teams, to integrate ILS considerations into overall program execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of ILS processes, tools, and methodologies within the organization.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
• Strong background in logistics support analysis (LSA), sustainment engineering, and integrated product support (IPS).

Work Environment

This role operates in a hybrid work environment, with an expectation of two in-office days per week on a flexible schedule without fixed days.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, ON.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
