Plumbing & Heating Estimator at Synectics Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project documents, completing accurate quantity takeoffs, preparing bids, and coordinating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and addendums.
• Perform accurate material and quantity takeoffs based on project requirements.
• Prepare competitive and accurate project bids and tenders.
• Analyze customer and project requirements to ensure bids are complete and accurate.
• Prepare and submit project tenders to clients within established deadlines.
• Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Research materials, pricing, and project requirements as needed.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and records.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• College diploma/degree in a relevant field and/or certified Plumber.
• Good knowledge of the plumbing and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of building mechanics and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of the National Plumbing Code and applicable safety/building codes.
• Comfortable using computers and standard office software.
• Bilingual in English and French.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Resourceful, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
