Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Role

Cameco is seeking a seasoned technology professional to support complex business and technology initiatives through practical analysis, solution delivery, reporting, and process improvement.

As a collaborative team member, the Business Analyst works across business, functional, technical, and data teams to understand priorities, support decision-making, and help deliver outcomes that improve efficiency and effectiveness.

In This Role, You Will

  • Analyze business needs, process challenges, system impacts, desired outcomes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate discussions with business, functional, technical, and data stakeholders to confirm priorities, requirements, solution options, and expected benefits.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, specifications, test scenarios, decision records, business rules, assumptions, and implementation support materials.
  • Support solution design, testing, change control, implementation readiness, solution delivery, and post-implementation validation.
  • Support reporting, dashboard, and process intelligence initiatives, including SAP Signavio Process Intelligence, by validating KPIs, investigating data issues, documenting assumptions, and identifying practical improvement and emerging technology opportunities, including AI-enabled solutions.

Required

  • bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field;
  • Minimum five years of business analysis experience;
  • equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered;
  • experience working in Scrum or Agile project environments;
  • experience supporting business systems, reporting, analytics, or process improvement initiatives;
  • ability to gather and document requirements, test scenarios, solution recommendations, data definitions, and business rules;
  • basic-to-intermediate experience working with structured data and SQL or SQL-like query logic, including filtering, joining, aggregating, validating, and troubleshooting data;
  • working knowledge of dashboard and reporting concepts, including KPIs, filters, measures, dimensions, calculations, and user validation; and
  • strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, facilitation, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.

Recommended

  • business analysis certification, such as CBAP or PMI-PBA;
  • lean methodology training or experience;
  • experience with SAP ERP, SAP Signavio Suite, SuccessFactors, or SharePoint; and
  • experience supporting operational excellence, automation, process intelligence, or AI-enabled analytics initiatives.
