Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications
1-3 years in the past 5 years on Acute Care/Medical Surgical Unit.
Preferred Qualifications
Labor and delivery experience is an asset but not required; training in obstetrics is to be expected and is offered on site. Neonatal resuscitation is an asset but not required; training in NRP is to be expected and is offered on site. Cross training to other nursing departments within CLHCC may be necessary. ACLS and PALS would be considered an asset.
