Clerk IV - Scheduler at Covenant Health Canada
The Scheduling Clerk IV is responsible for supporting the Resident Care Units by procuring staff and providing customer service to assist staff and residents. This role utilizes Infor WFM and Automated Shift Callout systems to manage time-sensitive scheduling activities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate staff scheduling and pay data in alignment with Covenant Health policies, procedures, and collective agreements. Understanding AUPE, UNA, HSAA, USW and CUPE Local 41 Collective Agreements and working knowledge of 24x7 rotation is preferred. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service excellence and advanced problem-solving skills, as the incumbent will regularly address urgent staffing issues, respond to inquiries, and implement effective, timely solutions. The successful applicant must possess good communication, organization and time management to meet deadlines and multitask in a busy environment with frequent interruptions. The applicant must possess good initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing demands as well as sound decision making, problem solving and critical thinking to resolve issues. The Clerk IV provides complex clerical support. The Clerk IV performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications
One year related post secondary certificate required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent. Minimum 2 years staff scheduling experience, healthcare preferred. A working knowledge of 24x7 scheduling rotations in a unionized environment. Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office(Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Proven Customer Service skills. Excellent time management and organization skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Ability to adapt to competing demands, unpredictable workload changes and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of two years experience using a healthcare related scheduling system (Infor WFM & ASC preferred). Formal Infor WFM & ASC training from Covenant Health an asset. Certificate in Office Administration an asset. Experience with payroll, time keeping and data entry.
