On behalf of our insurance client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager for a permanent full-time role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Waterloo office.

Senior Project Manager - Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will oversee cross-departmental business and ITS-related projects in a diverse portfolio. The role involves managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring alignment with business priorities and organizational goals.

Senior Project Manager - Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedule, quality, budget, resources, and communication plans.
• Lead project meetings and oversee governance and dependency management.
• Identify, assess, document, and monitor project risks.
• Develop and escalate risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular project updates through governance forums.
• Manage change and competing demands, communicating adjustments to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
• Manage and coordinate external vendors to meet deliverables and timelines.
• Champion organizational change and support new processes adoption.
• Monitor project financials, including forecasts, budgets, and variances.

Senior Project Manager - Mandatory Skills

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in insurance or financial services.
• University degree in a related field.
• Experience leading Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid projects.
• Proven experience managing budgets, customer expectations, and risks.
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops and planning sessions.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and rapid changes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Senior Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills

• PMP and Agile certification.
• Health and dental claims experience.
• Experience in environments with early-stage project processes.
• Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
• Problem-solving abilities.
