I. IDENTIFICATION

JOB TITLE: Site Controller

II. ROLE

Latecoere Aerostructure Canada (Avcorp Industries Inc.) manufactures and integrates aerospace structures in Delta. The Site Controller leads Delta’s manufacturing finance operations and finance team. Reports to Head of Finance, who reports to CFO Americas, and works with GM, LAC Delta and Operations on reporting, cost control, forecasting and financial performance. The expected salary range for this position is $85,000–$135,000 per year. Placement within the range will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.

III. MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SECTION 1

• Lead period-end close, financial statements, management reporting and applicable filings; maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts and financial records.
• Maintain internal controls and integrate manufacturing and financial data; improve inventory accuracy, shop-floor cost collection, bills of material and routings.
• Analyze program costs, labour reporting, material discrepancies and variances; work with Operations to correct errors and improve margins.
• Oversee applicable government contract accounting, including Cost Accounting Standards and FAR requirements within assigned contracts.

SECTION 2

• Lead annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts with operational input; analyze program cost drivers, overhead, demand, profitability and cash flows.
• Develop and hold the finance team accountable for accurate, timely work; explain financial issues and performance measures to non-finance leaders.
• Support financial statement, tax, bank and customer audits; provide evidence and resolve accounting, process and control findings.

IV. SAFETY, COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE

• Apply approved accounting policies, reporting requirements and segregation-of-duties controls; safeguard assets and confidential financial information.
• Retain auditable cost and reporting records, escalate material misstatements or control failures and comply with site safety and controlled-information procedures.

V. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

• Accuracy and timeliness of close and site financial reporting.
• Budget, forecast and cash-flow accuracy against actual results.
• Inventory and manufacturing-cost accuracy and variance resolution.
• Timely completion of audits and closure of control findings.

VI. AUTHORITY

• Direct the site finance team and assigned reporting activities.
• Review financial entries and approve within delegated authority.
• Recommend cost controls and escalate material financial decisions.

VII. DECISION MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess cost drivers, variances and required corrective actions.
• Evaluate forecast assumptions with operational and program owners.
• Refer material accounting, contract and financial risks to Head of Finance.

VIII. REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA certification is preferred. At least 10 years of relevant accounting, reporting, internal control and audit experience.
• Aerospace and/or industrial experience is required; significant manufacturing experience and work in a similarly sized business of $100 million - $200 million are preferred.
• Strong cost accounting, Canadian GAAP and IFRS knowledge; experience with government reporting and ERP integration or implementation.
• Strong leadership, practical problem-solving and communication under deadlines; procurement and manufacturing knowledge is preferred, with ability to obtain required controlled-goods access for military programs.
