As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential, as you will be moving throughout your entire shift, patrolling and monitoring the facility to ensure safety.

Responsibilities For Tactical Security Guard

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity and ensure a safe environment.
• Check identification and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants and staff.
• Support the safety and well-being of the facility through proactive monitoring and intervention.

Qualifications For Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Previous experience in security or protective services.
• Training in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals in crisis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with external partners.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures, including fire safety and evacuation.
• Additional first aid or mental health crisis training is an asset.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
• First Aid Level C certification required.
• Hold a valid security license.
