Senior Business Analyst - CSITR at Affinity

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the Cybersecurity & IT Resiliency Program as outlined below. This position will be required for a twelve (12) month term, beginning immediately or as soon as possible. The successful candidate will report to the organization's Program/Project Manager and collaborate closely with stakeholders and various departments across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and document business problems, opportunities, risks, and objectives.
• Lead stakeholder workshops, interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources and resolve conflicting requirements.
• Translate high-level business concepts into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Document business requirements and high-level solution designs.
• Assess and document current-state (as-is) business processes and develop future-state (to-be) processes.
• Prepare decision-support materials and present findings to stakeholders.
• Support development of KPIs and reporting tools.
• Support project planning, WBS, RAID logs, status reporting, and other project documentation.
• Develop or support test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test scripts.
• Maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices.
• Support or lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Work with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve functional and requirements-related issues.
• Support change management, training, operational handover, and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of experience providing senior business analysis leadership on large-scale, complex system implementations.
• Experience supporting SDLC initiatives as a Business Systems Analyst.
• Experience with both on-premises and SaaS environments.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data centre technologies, on-premises networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience conducting current-state assessments and developing future-state processes.
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and process modelling skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring business analysts and subject matter experts.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into detailed system specifications.
• Experience working in complex stakeholder environments with competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience developing KPIs and metrics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Visio and Project.
• Bachelor's degree with formal business analysis training, or equivalent experience.
