Branch Manager at Clean Harbors

Clean Harbors in Ville Sainte-Catherine is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee all of its Technical Services Operations . The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, profitable, and efficient day-to-day management of operations. The manager will be responsible for leading the team toward success by driving revenue growth and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that health and safety are the top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures and by always acting safely;
• Monitor the branch’s overall performance, paying particular attention to safety and environmental issues, and provide solutions to problems that repeatedly affect the branch’s performance and/or could lead to future issues;
• Provide guidance and overall leadership to employees, while maintaining a safe, respectful, and team-oriented workplace;
• Conduct periodic visits to the worksite to inspect equipment and the work environment;
• Oversee the ongoing updating of equipment and parts inventories as well as the purchasing process to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness, while ensuring 100% compliance with regulatory certification requirements for equipment and staff training;
• Lead weekly meetings to ensure the effective dissemination of information and tasks to the relevant departments and employees;
• Comply with all local, provincial, and federal regulations;
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
• Interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain professional relationships while leading and/or supervising in a team environment;
• Strong attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills;
• Experience managing both unionized and non-unionized staff;
• Knowledge of and/or experience in the industry is preferred.
• Bilingual
